Lockdown. Most countries in the world have had to adhere to a lockdown because of the COVID 19, meaning that the adults and teens in particular have been stuck at home, away from friends, away from school, and away from their family members.
This has affected us all in many different ways.
Some might be happy, because school may not have been a safe and fun place for them, whereas others may not feel as safe at home.
While yes, the issue of COVID 19 remains a top priority for our governments, they should also hold mental health near the top of their agenda, because so many people, including myself, have suffered, and have not been able to seek help from those we would normally talk to.
The mental health of teens during the last 100 days has reached a record low because there isn't enough funding being put into the system. If this was a problem before the lockdown, now its going to be a mad house due to the backlog from the lockdown.
I have struggled with lockdown, and I know the kinds of thoughts that go through your mind, but it does get better. Just keep going, and keep talking.
Do you think your country and your goverment should do more to help?
